Because Benny Snell is a vested veteran, he's not subject to the waiver claims process. It's realistically possible the Lions will re-sign Shell later this week, or sometime after the opener at KC, when his entire base salary for the 2023 season isn't guaranteed.

Benny Snell did a pretty good job with his pre-season opportunities with the Lions. If Snell isn't re-signed by the Lions this week or signed by another team, he probably will be a Practice Squad candidate for the Lions.
