Dan Campbell laid out what the Lions are looking for in draft prospects
........
Which players are productive varies, depending on who's making the determination. What are the minimum thresholds for Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell at each position? The answer to this question would go a long way in determining who the Lions would seriously consider drafting when the Lions are on the clock.

Dan Campbell's 4th down gambles become costly in Lions loss to Seahawks
.............
This thread relates to the following thread:
Seahawks 37, Lions 31 OT: Game # 2 ( 2023)
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/1895/seahawks-37-lions-game-2023
I think it's fair to say that Dan Campbell doesn't trust Riley Patterson on FGs that are close to 50 Yard FGs and even more so FGs 50 yards or longer. The Lions probably will have to address the Kicker situation again if Campbell doesn't gain confidence in Patterson on FGs around the 48 to 53 Yard Range.
Overall, each situation in a game is different. Sometimes being aggressive in going for a 1st Down, on 4th Down, is a good decision. Other times, it's not a good decision.
On the Lions final drive in the 4th QTR and as it turned out, the game, Big V was out as well. When combining this with Taylor Decker, David Montgomery not being available (especially for Blitz protection), and Amon-Ra St. Brown been limited to at least some extent, I respect Dan Campbell's decision for the Lions to be more cautious than usual.
