The Lions re-signing WR Donovan Peoples-Jones to a team friendly is welcome news on this end.
DPJ was used as a Punt Returner in the playoffs, as Kalif Raymond was sidelined by a knee injury that he suffered vs. the Vikings in the regular season finale.
While the door doesn't seem closed on Josh Reynolds coming to a contract agreement with the Lions this off-season, I think the chances have been reduced this week that Reynolds will be back. DPJ provides the Lions with depth at WR and as a Punt Returner & competition for the team's # 3 WR spot. With a deep WR 2024 draft crop, I think there's a very realistic chance the Lions will draft a WR this year. That much more if Reynolds isn't re-signed.
