Lions land former Michigan receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones in deal with Browns

This thread relates to the following thread:

Good decision by Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell in trading a 6th Round Pick in 2025 for Browns WR Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Even with DPP scheduled to become an UFA in 2024 and his receiving production being way down this season, I think this is a good favorable cost/ benefit trade for the Lions.
DPJ has the skill set on the outside that gives the Lions another vertical option and should help the Lions in the Red Zone. His versatility to contribute as a Slot Receiver and as a backup returner on Special Teams, are added bonuses. His durability track record is another positive.
It's definitely a plus that DPP is from Detroit. In addition to the remainder of this season, if DPJ proves to be a good fit for the Lions, he will probably make it a priority to work out a new contract with the Lions.
It remains to be seen if the Lions will expose Antoine Green to waivers, with the hope to sign him to the Practice Squad. I would be comfortable if the Lions expose Green to waivers.
