No surprise on this end that C.J. Gardner-Johnson didn't re-sign with the Lions.

I'm glad the Eagles offered CJGJ the contract that they did and that he accepted their offer. The Lions are now well on the way to get 1 or 2 Compensatory Picks in 2025 and added a lower cost option in CB Amik Robertson earlier in the day. Which gives the Lions the flexibility to use Brian Branch as a Safety more. The Lions also have more salary cap flexibility as a result.

The comment C.J. Gardner-Johnson made about Lions fans turning on him is along the Lions of his comments regarding Eagles fans last year. This is part of his personality. He clearly enjoys playing both the hero and villain roles.

Taking a shot at all of his former Lions teammates (except Jameson Williams) is another story. Some of his former Lions teammates aren't going to forget this anytime soon, if at all.
