This is another expected release decision by the Lions leading up to the start of the FA period. I thought Jesse James was improving during the 2020 season, compared to the 2019 season. This before James appeared to regress in the latter few weeks of the 2020 season. It's best for both parties to go in a different direction.

Expected, even if the Lions playbook may include lots of 2 TEs / 3 TEs sets (to help Goff and the running game), Jesse James certainly won't fit the bill.

I already feel much better about the Lions TE situation, with Josh Hill replacing Jesse James, and probably at a much more efficient per dollar rate.
