If Jesse James doesn't perform much better this season than he did last season, he probably will be a salary cap casulty in 2021. I think the coaches will know relatively early in the 2020 season if James is headed for a rebound season.

It's good to see Jesse James make noticeable strides. His blocking looked better in the early part of the season and now his receiving game is also on the upspring. This should increase the confidence level of James and everyone else associated with the Lions Offense, ( regarding confidence in James ), moving forward.
