I'm not sure why the Lions team brass values Mike Ford as a player to the extent that they do?
Ford has versatility, including Special Teams. Yet, he doesn't jump out in any role.
I much rather the Lions place Ford on injured waivers, keeping David Blough or Jason Huntley off the waiver wire.. The Lions got away with exposing Blough to waivers but not Huntley.
