Lions continue linebacker shakeup by signing former second-round pick Reggie Ragland, also Elijah Lee
…………….
Reggie Ragland is definitely better suited to be a run downs MLB / ILB. He's not someone who I would want matched up against a skilled receiving RB or TE in man to man coverage.
The Super Bowl winning experience Ragland brings to the table is a significant plus.
Along with pass coverage, my other concern regarding the Lions adding Ragland is he probably won't offer much on Special Teams. If Ragland isn't getting many snaps on Defense, it will be difficult to put him on Game Day rosters. ( though the increase from 46 to 48 on Game Day could be the difference in Ragland ( or someone like him ) maintaining his overall roster spot.).
Assuming the contract will be at or near the NFL Veteran Minimum, I'm comfortable with the addition of Ragland.

……………….
Both contracts appear to be NFL Veteran Minimum deals.
It will be easy for the Lions to move on from either player.
It's evident that the Lions rate Reggie Ragland higher than Elijah Lee. There's usually at least one Lions UDRFA who gets more than 10,000 in guaranteed money than what Lee is receiving from the Lions.
