It was a foregone conclusion that the Lions and Graham Glasgow were going their separate ways. I remain disappointed.
I'm a little surprised that Graham Glasgow didn't even get a more valued contract than the one he agreed to with the Broncos. This is a high value contract. But with two Guards receiving the Franchise Tag, I thought Glasgow would get a few million more in guaranteed money, and/ or a somewhat higher per year pay rate.
The position Graham Glasgow plays primarily with the Broncos likely will be determined whether they re-sign UFA C Connor McGovern. Glasgow's interior O-Line versatility at a winning level is one of the major positives he brings to the table.
I wish Graham Glasgow and his family well in Denver. Glasgow is a professional. His reliability and overall intangibles should help the Broncos. Because Denver is one of the most passionate NFL areas in the country, with the Broncos having a large fan base in all of the Rocky Mountain States ( even in the Canadian Province of Alberta ), this is a great opportunity for Graham Glasgow. Even beyond football.
