Joe, if the same injury occurred with any other player on the Lions roster, based on the Lions record and overall injury situation, IMHO, I.R. would be inevitable.

Because of what Matthew Stafford has meant and continues to mean to the franchise, I think the Lions are giving him the opportunity to try to make back. Hopefully, Stafford will realize that his future ( and his family ) and the Lions future should be the priorities in the decision.
