Chiefs preseason strategy will be big challenge for Detroit Lions
............
With Hendon Hooker coming off a concussion, I hope he doesn't play when the Chiefs Defensive Starters are in the game. The Lions playing backup Offensive Lineman against the Chiefs starting Defense would put Hooker at great risk for injury unless the plan is for Hooker to get rid of the ball quickly.

5 players to watch as battle for roster spots heats up in Lions-Chiefs preseason game
...........
Zonovan Knight is in a tough spot, as Craig Reynolds is having a strong training camp and that Sione Vaki will be on the Lions 53 man roster if he remains relatively healthy. For Knight to be on the Lions opening day 53 man roster, he's probably going to need to perform at a high level on Special Teams to have a realistic chance (barring the injury factor).
With Nate Lynn being placed on the Waived Injured List, Mitchell Agude has a clearer path to survive the cutdown to 53.

Five position battles to watch in Lions' second preseason game
.........
Because Shane Zylstra has struggled as a blocker, he's likely on the Lions roster bubble.
Tre'Quan Smith also has a realistic chance to survive the cutdown to 53. After the Lions top 3 WRs, it's wide open. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there's only 4 WRs on the Lions initial 53 man roster, with only 3 even a possibility that shouldn't be dismissed.
