Don't expect Jake Fromm to play for the Lions vs. the Steelers
...........
Because Jake Fromm will have familiarity with the Lions Offensive system, he would be a viable Practice Squad option for the Lions. Fromm provides roster flexibility. If the Lions release Nate Sudfeld and ends up signing with another team, Fromm would provide the Lions with insurance.

Jake Fromm impresses in his unexpected Lions debut
..............
This new thread relates to the following thread and the thread links in that discussion:
Lions 24, Steelers 17: Pre-Season Game # 3 (2024)
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/2222/lions-steelers-season-game-2024
Jake Fromm should have had a TD pass but RB Jake Funk didn't hold on to what would have been a TD reception on a 3rd Down play. That's a ball Funk needed to catch.
Though I have more confidence in Jake Fromm than in Nate Sudfeld, if called upon in a regular season game (s), I'm not optimistic about the Lions brass feeling similarly.
Realistically, the best case outcome for Fromm with the Lions this week is he ends up on the Lions PS.
