While even a 4 game suspension for Jameson Williams was a bad decision by the NFL, thankfully they ended Williams' suspension two weeks early. I didn't expect this to happen.

Considering that Williams is coming off a hamstring injury and has plenty of catching up to do, it's far from a given that he will be on the Game Day roster this coming Sunday vs. Carolina.

What happens now that Jameson Williams is being reinstated early from his suspension?

Regarding Hendon Hooker, because he's on the Regular Season NFI list, the Lions would get up to 3 weeks for Hooker to practice before deciding whether to active him from the NFI list or to place him on Season Ending IR. The same applies to Julian Okwara, who would have a maximum 3-week window to practice, before the Lions activate him from Short Term/ In-Season IR, or place him on Season Ending IR. My guess is both players will be activated to the 53-man roster at some point this season.

Jason Cabinda is a candidate to be placed on IR, because of the knee injury he apparently suffered in the Lions win over the Falcons. Cabinda was a Game Day Inactive for the game in Green Bay, 4 days later.

While Jameson Williams has a lot of work ahead in order to become the player the Lions envisioned when trading up for him from Pick # 32 to Pick # 12 in the 2022 Draft, it's good to see that he contributed to a Lions victory in his first game back. Williams' blocking was an important part of the Lions building a lead against the Panthers and remaining in control of the game.
