Chad Cota is clearly in the mix for a roster spot on the Lions initial 53 man roster and for the Lions opening day 53 man roster. For Cota to at least survive the cutdown to 53, he's going to probably need a strong performance both as a WR and on Special Teams. With the latter at least equally important. If Cota doesn't make it on the Lions 53 man roster and he clears waivers, he probably will be a player the Lions will try to sign to the team's Practice Squad.
