Great outcome for the Lions!

Brad Holmes was patient, deciding to wait until Charles Harris and his agent tested the Free Agent market. This, before coming to agree with Harris and his agent on a two year contract. Compared to the contract the Eagles gave DE/ Edge player Hassan Reddick, Harris is a bargain.

Even with Charles Harris back in the fold, the Lions will very likely draft a DE edge player with the pick # 2, # 32, or pick # 34 draft resource.

Charles Harris was selected by the Dolphins with pick # 22 of the 2017 Draft. LB Jarrad Davis was selected by the Lions with the previous pick.

Jarrad Davis was an UFA last year and signed a 1 year contract with the Jets. He had another season in which injury set him back. With COVID-19, another obstacle. Davis is currently an UFA. The 2021 season went much better for Harris and he was awarded by the Lions, for his hard work / vast improved play.

Charles Harris and the Lions overall should benefit greatly if the Lions add a top level Defensive Edge prospect, who quickly lives up to his draft billing. Harris and the other Lions on Defensive would be in more advantageous / favorable situations.
