The decision by Bob Quinn to release LB Devon Kennard AND then Matt Patricia not using Jamie Collins much more as a pass rusher still doesn't make sense.
I'm to see that Aaron Glenn is planning on using Jamie Collins much more as a pass rusher than Matt Patricia did in the 2020 season.
Dan Campbell gave the impression that he wants the Lions to move on from Jamie Collins. I definitely believe this would be in the best interest of the Lions. If the Lions best trade offer is an exchange of late Round picks, it's probably still would make sense for the Lions to trade Collins. He's not a good fit for a team that clearly is in the early stages of a long building process like the Lions.
Regardless how Dan Campbell really feels about Jamie Collins' attitude, he's clearly trying to try to maximize Collins trade value. If the Lions end up getting a straight up 6th Round pick for Collins, even in the 2023 or 2024 Draft, that would be a very good trade for the Lions.
Hopefully, the Lions will be able to complete a trade of Jamie Collins by Thursday, in order to activate Jashon Cornell from the NFL suspended list, and not have to remove another player from the 53 man roster.
