Lions plan to release Justin Coleman
.........

The news of the Lions planning on releasing Justin Coleman in the coming days is no surprise at all on this end. No NFL team is going to trade for Coleman under his current contract.
I think there's at least a 70 % chance Coleman elects NOT to restructure his contract with the Lions. He's going to need to take a huge pay cut from any team that has interest in him. With a new regime in place in Detroit, Coleman probably will prefer to speak to a number of teams before making his decision on who to play for in 2021. Including the Patriots and Seahawks, because of his history and coaching connections with them.

The Lions question regarding Justin Coleman now becomes whether his release will be designed as a post June 1 cut? This feels like a 50-50 situation, in terms of trying to predict the outcome.
