The Colts fell to 7-9 in the 2019 season. Yet, after Andrew Luck announced his retirement relatively close to the start of the regular season, they did relatively well under the circumstance of no longer having their franchise QB. They bounced back in 2020 and gave the high octane Buffalo Bills all they could handle in the first round of the playoffs.
Ed Dodds is amongst my favorite Lions GM candidates. Though Dobbs has never been an NFL GM, he's worked under two of the best NFL GMs. With experience with the Colts as an Assistant GM and a good track record with college and pro scouting.
