The only overt downside for the Lions to hire Louis Riddick for GM position that comes to mind is Riddick has never been a GM. Otherwise, he checks a numerous amount of boxes. If Riddick's vision for the Lions is along the lines of Chris Spielman's vision, he would rank amongst my top choices for the Lions GM position.
