The combined two game performance by Jack Fox is amongst the best two game stretches I've seen from an NFL Punter. Jack Fox and Frank Ragnow have been by far the best players on the Lions through 2 games.

As many mistakes that Bob Quinn has made as Lions GM, right now it looks like he made outstanding decisions regarding Fox. Beginning with signing Fox to the Lions P.S. during last season.

The record setting Punting by Jack Fox in the month of September, without having the opportunity to Punt in a pre-season game, and no NFL game experience, is a sensational accomplishment. Definitely, the best month of football by a Lions player since at least the Calvin Johnson era.

In the Lions case, what you mentioned certainly also applies to the Lions Defense. If the Lions Defense was even average, the field position advantage Jack Fox and the Lions Punt Coverage unit usually gave them should have resulted in much better Lions team results.
