I'm surprised the Lions would sign Adrian Peterson without watching him in a Tryout/ Workout. Especially, with the combination of Peterson being 35 years old and no pre-season games to gauge whether his physical skills diminished significantly since last season.

The most likely outcome with the roster spot if Peterson passes his physical with the Lions is Bo Scarbrough ends up on Short Term I.R..

Very good game performance by Adrian Peterson. He exceeded my expectations, at least in his first game with the Lions. His run vision stood out as much as anything.

Moving forward, an immediate concern is the loss of G Joe Dahl for at least through the bye. Dahl looked much better run blocking than in pass protection vs. the Bears. Will Peterson get at least the necessary level of blocking from the LG position in the coming games?

Adrian Peterson is probably the Lions best rusher ( running play ) option. Yet, because Peterson is limited as a receiver and he's not an asset in pass protection, he's not someone well suited for none short yardage plays when the Lions are in 2nd half comeback mode. Early in games and when the Lions are leading in the 2nd half, I think Peterson needs to see most of the action at RB.

Adrian Peterson has already proven that he's a freak of nature. His work ethic is better than I was aware of as well.

I'm more optimistic about Adrian Peterson recovering in time to play in Jacksonville than I am regarding Frank Ragnow ( groin injury ).

Adrian Peterson doesn't have the abilities that he a few seasons ago. Especially, the breakaway dimension. Peterson still has enough ability to be much more productive stat wise than in the last couple of games if he gets much better blocking.

Right, unfortunately, he has become predictable (along with the playcalling) because he is not able to bounce outside anymore, so 8 times out of 10, it's a straight run inside the tackles.

Adrian Peterson's effort is not in question, including in preparation for games. Having said that, I think D'Andre Swift should be the Lions primary goal line situation option at RB.

A solid case can be made that the Lions are 3-5 because unlike many other teams, the Lions don't compensate well when injuries occur. For the most part, in general, too much has had to break right for the Lions under Matt Patricia for the Lions to win.

It's not a given that Adrian Peterson will be given an NFL RB opportunity for the 2021 season, let alone beyond. Peterson's best chance at an opportunity next season could well be with the team Darrell Bevell is coaching with.
