I expressed the following in the 'Lions reach the 53 roster limit after cutdown (2020 season )' thread:
19. Kevin Strong. I thought he had a slightly better chance of surviving cutdown to 53. I disagree with the decision, though not to the extent as with Blough and Huntley being released. Probably 50 % chance or very slightly less of being claimed off waivers. Good chance at P.S. opportunity if he clears waivers. High upside potential player.
I rather the Lions kept Kevin Strong over DT John Penisini because Strong has more upside potential. If Penisini wasn't claimed off waivers ( I think there would have been less than a 50% chance he would have been claimed) , the Lions could have signed him or another primarily run stopping DT to the P.S.
