Lions reach the 53 roster limit after cutdown (2020 season )

I expressed the following in the 'Lions reach the 53 roster limit after cutdown (2020 season )' thread:
10. Jason Huntley. A near shocking cut. I strongly disagree with the decision. Has the best chance of being claimed off waivers of the Lions cuts to get to 53. I think it's at least 55% he's claimed. High priority P.S. signing if he clears waivers. Lions easily could have competition.
I'm not going to question the decision to keep Jason Huntley over another RB who survived the cutdown to 53. However, to keep CB Mike Ford over David Blough or Jason Huntley is perplexing.
I respect what LB Elijah Lee brings to the table. Yet, I much rather the Lions keep Blough or Huntley. If the plan is to put TE Hunter Bryant on Short Term I.R., Lee could have been told that the Lions would re-sign him ( if he was released ). Lee is a vested veteran, hence he's not subject to waivers. The only time period vested veterans are subject to waivers is after the NFL Trade Deadline.
