I certainly respect Geronimo Allison's decision. The risk vs. reward wasn't enough for Allison to participate in training camp. It wasn't close to a given he would have made the Lions 53 man opening day roster.
The loss of Allison could be felt if one of the top 3 WR's are unavailable, for one or more games. It remains to be seen if any of the backup WR's will step up at WR.
On the other hand, the loss of Allison probably increases the chances of the Lions having a better Special Teams option than Allison with the roster spot.
