Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn talks 2020 NFL draft: Our top takeaways
……………..
Overall, a very good summary by Dave Birkett regarding Bob Quinn's comments today.
Great news regarding the Lions having no known cases of COVID-19. Hopefully, that will continue to be the case. My best to LA Rams C Brian Allen and Broncos OLB Von Miller. Both tested positive for COVID-19.
The updated info on the contract of Halapoulivaati Vaitai is 5 years, $ 45 million, with $ 20 million guaranteed. This is somewhat less than what Graham Glasgow signed for with the Broncos. The versatility that Big V provides at both Tackle and Guard needs to be factored into heavily in the decision the Lions made regarding signing him.

Lions’ Bob Quinn ponders more virtual work in future after eye-opening NFL draft at home
…………………
This thread relates to the following thread:
Texans HC & GM Bill O'Brien irate with Lions GM Bob Quinn
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/668/texans-obrien-irate-lions-quinn
The virtual draft provided human elements that helped make a very difficult overall situation for practically everyone into a memorable experience.
The only significant way in which I felt the combined TV network telecast could have been much better is if they reported the details of which draft picks were exchanged in trades. Something that didn't happen as Day 2 went on ( maybe even from the first Day 2 trade on ) and during Day 3. Until a new Round occurred, if someone didn't go elsewhere to find out the details of trades with draft picks exchanged, they wouldn't know the draft order of the rounds that didn't begin yet.
