Matt Patricia trying to ace Detroit Lions' 2020 NFL draft from strange place — home
……………..
Every NFL team is dealing with similar constraints. The teams that are less dependent on the Post Combine draft process leading up to the draft should be in better shape than those teams that are more dependent. The Lions opportunity to coach the North Squad Senior Bowl team certainly is a major plus. That much more as a result of the Coronavirus situation.

Bob Quinn has no concerns with Matt Patricia’s relationship with players
…………….
Matt Patricia now has a locker room mainly full of the type of players that he was seeking. The NFL is a results oriented business. Though it's possible the Coronavirus situation could buy both Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia more time, significant tangible progress seems necessary for this team brass to return for the 2021 season.

Detroit Lions enter most crucial 2-game stretch of Matt Patricia's career
..........
The Lions have played well in games following a bye under Matt Patricia. The win at Miami in 2018 was one of the best Lions all around performances in the Patricia era. Last season, the Packers came back to beat the Lions in a MNF game that officiating played a huge role in the outcome. The Lions need to play a complete game tomorrow in Jax against a desperate Jaguars team.

Enough is enough for Matt Patricia in Detroit .........
Most of the Lions fan base and the media covering the Lions called for Jim Caldwell's firing 3 years ago. They got what they wanted back then. It reminded me when the Lions cleaned house after missing the playoffs in the 2000 season. The Lions track record in the last combined 63 seasons is such that when a Head Coach is coming off a winning season, you shouldn't fire him at that time.

Losses happen but even wins look erratic ... 3 years is a long time in the NFL.
