It's good to see Miles Killebrew back in the Lions fold.
There's no question that Special Teams is where Killebrew provides most of his value to the Lions. That's not the only value Killebrew provides the team. His versatility on Special Teams can help save a Game Day roster spot.
Most likely, the contract is heavily team friendly. If that indeed is the case, Killebrew is going to need a strong summer substantially increase his chances of being on the Lions opening day roster.
Tony McRae probably fits the same category as Miles Killebrew, in terms of being primarily a Special Teams player. It's possible both players will be fighting for one roster spot.
