Kenny Golladay has been the best draft selection by Bob Quinn in his first 4 drafts as the Lions GM. That much more considering he was a late 3rd Round pick. I agree with Nate Burleson in that the Lions need to be proactive in getting Golladay signed to a contract extension. In addition to Golladay's physical skills, his intangibles on and off the field are excellent!

My guess is that Bob Quinn is going to need approval from Sheila Ford Hamp in order to sign Kenny Golladay to a contract extension. If Quinn is fired during the season and Golladay hasn't agreed to a contract extension, it's not likely a contract agreement will be reached by the interim GM and Golladay's agent.

It's understandable that Kenny Golladay wants his contract situation resolved. Every time he plays in a game or even practices, he's taking a huge risk when considering that he's still playing under the rookie contract he signed as a 3rd Round Pick.

Having said this, I have concerns that Golladay going public with the situation on Social Media is in the best interest for him and the Lions.
