One can make a solid case that the Lions should use a draft pick on a QB on Day 2 of the draft if value is present. The Lions 0-8 record w/o Matthew Stafford is exhibit A. Whether Chase Daniel can hold down the fort if Stafford is out with a short term injury remains to be seen.

Anthony Gordon probably will be drafted in the middle rounds ( 3 to 5 ). My major concern with Gordon is he could be a product of Mike Leach's system.

Jalen Hurts easily could be taken in the middle rounds as well. One question/ problem with adding Hurts is if he doesn't demonstrate enough that he warrants being the # 2 QB, is carrying him as a # 3 QB on Game Day Rosters an efficient move? Even with the increase from a 46 man to a 48 man Game Day Roster.
