Lions sign former AAF QB Luis Perez, release David Fales heading into preseason finale

This roster move makes sense.
David Fales was no longer a viable option as the Lions # 2 QB. With Tom Savage back to practice, he should be able to handle snaps in the pre-season finale at Cleveland. By signing Luis Perez now, the Lions brass can better assess whether he's a good Practice Squad option.
