The Lions definitely should give Jake Bates a tryout. He clearly has big time potential as a Kicker. What Bates accomplished for the Michigan Panthers the other day was extraordinary!

The Lions need to be proactive in getting Jake Bates signed. Bates will probably get at least 5 contract offers from other NFL teams, maybe many more than that.
