The joint practices went well for the Lions and Giants last summer. Hence, it makes sense for both teams to have joint practices again, with the teams not facing each other in the regular season.

Knowing the problems that Brian Burns gave Taylor Decker in the Lions two game at Carolina in recent years (2020 and 2022), Burns should help Decker and Penei Sewell prepare for the regular season. Huge challenge for both Decker and Sewell.

I would be very surprised if Brian Branch gets any team reps in Tuesday's practice at the Giants. It's near certain that Branch will be kept out of the pre-season opener at the Giants. Next week, barring a setback, I'm anticipating Branch getting team reps in practice.

Other than Terrion Arnold, I'm expecting all of the other Lions players mentioned in this article to be ruled out of the pre-season opener at the Giants, because of injury.
