Report: Packers will release De’Vondre Campbell this week

De’Vondre Campbell turns 31 on July 1 and has missed 10 games in the last 2 combined seasons because of injury. In Campbell's last full relatively healthy season (2021), he was a major reason why the Packers were the # 1 Seed in the NFC Playoffs. Campbell probably won't have a better season than he did in 2021. But if he can remain relatively healthy, he should be an asset as a 3rd Down LB for the team that ends up signing him. The Packers moving on from Campbell is a significant loss for them.

Because the Lions LB situation is in good shape, including quality depth, I would be very surprised if the Lions end up signing Campbell. I'm not expecting the Lions to be a serious contender for Campbell's services.

Bobby Wagner agrees to one-year deal with Commanders

Great addition for Washington! Bobby Wagner played at a high level in his return to the Seattle Seahawks last season. Even though Wagner turns 34 in June, even if his physical skills substantially decline, his intangibles should help Washington greatly. That much more with Wagner having a Super Bowl winning history with Dan Quinn.

Zach Cunningham would at most be injury insurance for the Lions as an Off the Ball LB. Being that Cunningham isn't going to add much, if anything, on Special Teams, and the Lions have good depth at LB, he's better off signing with another team.
