Though I didn't think the Lions would tender any of the team's 2024 RFAs, of the 6 RFAs, Brock Wright was the most likely RFA to be tendered. The only other Lions RFA I believe there's any chance of the Lions tendering is DT Benito Jones. It's not likely the Lions will tender Jones (IMHO, around a 30 % chance he's tendered).
It's still seems very realistically possible the Lions will work out a contract agreement with Brock Wright in the coming days, weeks, or months. Wright is a good fit for the Lions as a player and from a team culture standpoint. He's never going to be a preferred # 1 TE. But as a # 2 TE, Wright is at least a decent option. Wright isn't flashy, yet he can handle multiple roles as a TE, and contribute on Special Teams.
