Tanner Engstrand probably would have been the internal favorite to replace Ben Johnson as Lions Offensive Coordinator, if the latter became an NFL Head Coach this winter. If Engstrand doesn't get a promotion elsewhere, I think he will remain the internal favorite to replace Johnson in 2025, if Johnson becomes an NFL HC.
New Seahawks HC Mike MacDonald not having HC experience could work against Tanner Engstrand for the Seahawks OC opening, as Engstrand doesn't have OC experience.
