The loss of Alim McNeill for at least 4 games is an enormous setback for the Lions. McNeill is clearly the Lions best interior Defensive Line player and has demonstrated great leadership by example. McNeill came back into the Saints game at least a couple of times, despite dealing with a knee injury that landed him on IR a couple of days later. McNeill might have made the injury worse by coming back into the game. But McNeill's desire to get back into the game and his contribution to the Lions holding on for the win is a credit to him.
With Quinton Bohanna no longer being eligible to be elevated from the Practice Squad, there's a pretty good chance that Bohanna is promoted / signed from the PS by Saturday Afternoon.
Tyson Alualu probably won't be elevated from the PS for the Bears game, with only 3 practices with the Lions and overall this season.
Kindle Vildor was released by the Bears back in August, after playing his first 3 NFL seasons with them. I'm not sure if the Lions team brass views Vildor as a better backup CB option than the other CBs on the Lions 53 man roster or primarily as a Special Teams contributor.
