Under the circumstance of being released before the 1st regular season game, this is relatively good news for Michael Badgley. By being released before the vast majority of NFL Training Camps begin, Badgley will have a better chance of getting the opportunity to compete for a kicking job by another NFL team. I wish Badgley well. He did a pretty good job, especially when considering the problems, the Lions had at the Kicker position last season, before Badgley played his first game with the Lions.
