While this is a decent amount of trade compensation in return for D'Andre Swift, I believe the Lions should have insisted on either a 3rd Round future pick or a 6th Round future pick included as part of the trade. I'm even factoring in that D'Andre Swift wasn't going to be back with the Lions for the 2024 season.

Between WR Jamison Williams' 6 game suspension and Jahmyr Gibbs now the Lions only remaining RB with breakaway speed, I wish Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell insisted on the Lions getting the trade compensation I mentioned in the previous sentence.

I wish D'Andre Swift well. And hope Swift has a highly successful rest of his playing career, except when he plays against the Lions, or in other games that would adversely affect the Lions.

Good job by D'Andre Swift not throwing anyone under the bus.

Once the Lions selected RB Jahmyr Gibbs with Pick # 12 in the 2023 NFL Draft, it's hard to imagine Gibbs being surprised that he was traded by the Lions.

Great job by D'Andre Swift in stepping up for the Eagles, when they were shorthanded at RB this past Thursday Night against the Vikings. Swift was more decisive as a runner in this game than was the case at times when he was with the Lions. The same regarding Swift's rushing decisions being better in this game than often was the case when he was with the Lions. Swift looked like a bell-cow # 1 rusher in this game. A game that could be the difference in the Lions winning the NFC North Title.
