Taylor Decker has been with the Lions longer than any other current player. He's the constant from the Bob Quinn era (first draft) through the present of the Brad Holmes era.
If not for the information that Taylor Decker played with a significant ankle injury during the Lions win at KC, I would have assumed Decker was relatively healthy throughout the game. I thought he had a good to very good all-around performance. Great job by Taylor Decker in playing through the injury AND at a winning level.
Tremendous job by Decker with his efforts to play in this game and with his willpower to remain in the game. While Decker did give up multiple pressures, I strongly believe that by playing in this game, it gave the Lions a better chance of winning. Penei Sewell was a difference maker at RT in this game. If Decker was unable to play or remain in the game, the Lions wouldn't have had the benefits throughout the game of Sewell's play at RT.
Taylor Decker caught a TD pass in the 2018 season game in Detroit that the LA Rams went on to win on the way to reaching the Super Bowl. On the opposite sideline was Jared Goff. Yesterday, they heavily contributed to the Lions first NFC North Championship. Great moment, in an already special Lions season.
