Excellent news!
Though I thought Demetrius Taylor would slightly fall short of surviving the Lions cutdown to 53, Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell made a great decision not exposing Taylor to waivers. While Taylor should be able to help the Lions this season to some extent, his value is potentially much greater long term. The decision by Holmes and Campbell in keeping Taylor off the waiver wire, at least for the foreseeable future, indicates to me that they have long term vision. Taylor appears to have a huge amount of upside potential, both against the run and as an interior pass rusher.
