I think there's a greater chance that Aubrey Pleasant is hired by the Vikings as their new Defensive Coordinator than there was for Aaron Glenn to be the next Saints HC (they chose to promote Dennis Allen from DC to HC.) The Kevin O'Connell connection with Pleasant, when Pleasant was with O'Connell on the LA Rams Coaching Staff, combined with the very good job Pleasant did in his first season as Lions DB Coach, certainly helps Pleasant if he's seriously interested in the Vikings DC job (I'm assuming he is serious).

This is shaping up as a huge break for the Lions.

If Aubrey Pleasant remains with the Lions as DB Coach for the 2022 season, he could easily be the team's best option to replace Aaron Glenn as Defensive Coordinator, if Glenn gets the opportunity to be a Head Coach in 2023.

At this time, I'm not aware of any other coaches who interviewed with the Saints for their Defensive Coordinator opening.

This is a major break for the Lions.

As a result of Aubrey Pleasant remaining with the Lions, barring something very unexpected, Pleasant is the most likely coach to replace Aaron Glenn as Defensive Coordinator in 2023...if Glenn becomes an NFL HC with another team.

I expect Aubrey Pleasant to be an NFL Defensive Coordinator in 2023. The question is more of whether with the Lions or with another team in the league? It depends greatly on whether Aaron Glenn gets an NFL HC job in 2023.
