Considering all of the bad Lions injury news this season, it's good to see encouraging injury news today. Hopefully, all of the injured players will be back by the beginning of December at the latest. With two games in the next 10 days, it wouldn't be surprising if one or more Lions players injured yesterday misses both the Browns and Bears games.

The question that comes to mind is whether the Lions planned to bring Dan Skipper back before Taylor Decker suffered the elbow injury or because of the injury? If it's the latter, the injury likely is one that will keep Decker out for at least a couple of games. Maybe even the remainder of the season.

If Baker Mayfield practices tomorrow, he will probably start against the Lions. Even if Mayfield starts, it's far from a given he will remain healthy enough to get through the game. The Browns could easily call up QB Nick Mullens from their PS for the game, if he hasn't be called up twice for games already.

Taylor Decker and the Lions are fortunate that Decker didn't suffer his 3rd major injury in practice during his NFL career. Decker is an exception, not the norm of players that have never suffered a multiple week absence injury during a game but have suffered at least two major injuries in practices.

The likely loss of Trey Flowers for the Browns game is a huge setback for the Lions in the team's quest to pull off a major upset. With the Browns probably going to run the ball heavily against the Lions, the loss of Flowers will make the Lions task noticeably more difficult.
