"I think he is a prime candidate to be the Lions most impactful FA signing from another team in 2021"
Quite an audacious statement , we'll take this thread out of limbo in a few month to confront with the reality . He is a nice addition to the secondary but "the most impactful FA signing" remains to be seen (...and the signing is not over )

So much depends on health ( and focus off the field ). If injuries continue to plague Quinton Dunbar, the Lions will probably move on from him in 2022. If Dunbar has the type of season that he had for the Redskins in the 2019 season but plays in the vast majority ( or all of the games ), trying to work out a new contract with him will be a pleasant problem.
Based on the Free Agents from other teams the Lions have signed in 2021 through this point in time, I think the 4 most likely to have the greatest impact in the 2021 season are Quinton Dunbar, Breshad Perriman, Tyrell Williams, and Jamaal Williams. With Dunbar having the highest ceiling and Jamaal Williams having the highest floor.

Quinton Dunbar: What the Lions are getting in their new CB
....
One additional benefit Quinton Dunbar could provide the Lions is create higher level competition that will push Jeff Okudah and Amari Oruwariye. Regardless which CBs end up starting and getting the most snaps, they need to earn the opportunities on merit. Not, by default.

.........
Even with the injury history of Quinton Dunbar and some teams probably having concerns about Dunbar away from football, I absolutely didn't expect Dunbar to end up signing an NFL Veteran Minimum contract with only a $137,500 signing bonus being guaranteed. On top of this, Dunbar reportedly had a visit with the Arizona Cardinals scheduled sometime relatively soon after his visit with the Lions. Tremendous job by Dan Campbell, Brad Holmes, and Co. convincing Dunbar to sign a highly favorable team contract.
