I'm pleasantly surprised that at least one other team is considering trading for Chase Daniel. The $4.3 million salary cap number for a team that trades for Daniel ( barring a contract restructure ) is a very high number for limited physical skills QB in a year in which the NFL Salary Cap will probably drop substantially, compared to 2020.

Even a future year 7th Round pick for Chase Daniel that's non conditional ( unless it goes up to a higher round ) would be quite an accomplishment for Brad Holmes if he can pull this off.

It seems possible that the Jaguars have interest in trading for Chase Daniel, in order to secure his rights. The Jaguars have the most salary cap space in 2021. Darrell Bevell, who coached Chase Daniel with the Lions in the 2020 season, is the Jags new Offensive Coordinator. With Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence very likely heading to Jacksonville as pick # 1 in the 2021 NFL Draft, Bevell might have sold HC Urban Meter on Daniel being Lawrence's mentor.

Chase Daniel has thrown 261 passes through his entire NFL career (10 years) ... Darell Bevell better be a great snake oil salesman to bring Chase Daniel as a mentor imho !?

Distracting Urban Meyer to the point that he doesn't see Chase Daniel game tape from 2020 is an essential part of Darrell Bevell's sales job. LOL
