Lions LB Trevor Bates arrested, tasered after allegedly punching officer in New York

If Trevor Bates is guilty of punching an officer,  his days with the Lions must be over. Even if Bates is guilty of one or more of the 'lesser' charges,  the Lions should probably move on .  An NFL suspension is a very realistic possibility, if Bates is guilty of one or more of the charges.

The NYPD officers, like all police officers in the United States and Canada, are at great risk. They certainly have my support unless it's proven that the support isn't warranted.

Trevor Bates is entitled to his day in court.

One thought that has come to mind since finding out about Trevor Bates' arrest is why did he come to NYC?  The only connection I'm aware of that he had with the NY Metropolitan Areea is he was on the Northern New Jersey based NY Giants Practice Squad for close to 1 1/2 months during the 2017 season.
