Detroit Lions' Matthew Stafford misses practice; Vikings RB Dalvin Cook won't play
........
My condolences to Dalvin Cook and his family. Very sad news.
I strongly disagree with the decision of Chase Daniel starting in this game, if Matthew Stafford is out. This is an opportunity to see if David Blough has made significant progress since last season.
The Lions should put Kenny Golladay and every player that will be ruled out for this game because of injury, on IR. This way, the Lions can elevate players from the Practice Squad to ensure their rights for the 2021 season.

"Chase Daniel starting" Understandable from a players / coaches point of view, they want to reach their bonuses and / or improve their stats but hardly defendable if the organization really wants to take a step ahead of next season.

Vikings Week 17 Thursday injury report: Seven DNP, four limited, one full
......
The Vikings availability situation was much more favorable for them in the game on November 8 between the two teams than it will be on Sunday. They will be without their best player ( Dalvin Cook ) and almost certainly be without their best non IR Defensive Player ( Eric Kendricks ) for a 4th straight game.

.......
If Jamie Collins ends up playing in this game, he's very likely going to look much better than when he struggled in pass coverage against Dalvin Cook back on November 8.

Cameron Dantzler also missed the first game between the two teams because of injury. Along with fellow rookie CB Jeff Gladney, Dantzler provides the Vikings with a good foundation at CB beyond this season.

Matthew Stafford is on the verge of starting all 16 games this season, despite an assortment of injuries in the 2nd half of the season.
