Well stated!
As much as Matt Patricia ( and Bob Quinn ) needed to go, these are difficult times for him and his family. I'm confident that in time, Patricia will reach out to Darrell Bevell.

Lions’ Darrell Bevell explains failed fake punt, why he didn’t challenge spot
.......
This thread relates to the following thread:
Titans 46, Lions 25: Game # 14 ( 2020 )
detroit-lions-forum.proboards.com/thread/846/titans-46-lions-game-2020
Based on the assessment that the Lions coaches / staff made regarding the 3 replay views they saw, I agree with Darrell Bevell's decision in not challenging the spot of the ball of the fake punt run by C.J. Moore. The timeout is too valuable to attempt looking for fool's gold.
I would have preferred the Lions go for the 1st Down early in the 2nd QTR on 4th and 6 from the Titans 43 yard line. Tennessee led 14-7 at the time. It was evident that the Lions Defense was struggling mightily. Though Jack Fox's Punt and the coverage led to a Titans fair catch at their own 7 yard line, it wasn't surprising that they drove 93 yards for a TD. Having expressed this opinion, I respect Darrell Bevell's decision to punt.

Darrell Bevell expected to interview for Lions’ head coaching job today
.........
If the Lions or another team don't hire Darrell Bevell as Head Coach, I think Mike Zimmer would have serious interest in hiring Darrell Bevell as Offensive Coordinator if Gary Kubiak steps down. Bevell's long history using a West Coast Offensive Scheme, coupled with Bevell being the Vikings OC several years before Zimmer became Vikings HC, would make the transition relatively easy.

Why Darrell Bevell is legitimate candidate to be next Detroit Lions head coach
.....
I think Matthew Stafford wants Darrell Befell to become the Lions Head Coach for the 2021 season and beyond. But he more likely than not feels that publicly endorsing Befell would reduce Bevell's chances of getting the job. Popular consensus opinion amongst the Lions fan base is for the Lions to get a fresh start with outside hirings at GM and HC.

I inadvertently posted my reply in another thread. I didn't realize it until a few minutes ago:

It's subjective which team that has an opening for GM and / or HC is most attractive, least attractive, etc. Most of the NFL media and fans put the LA Chargers at or near the top of teams that are the most attractive for HCs. This video helps illustrate why the Chargers are amongst the least attractive teams from my point of view:

A big name sometimes helps attract FAs but it can work the other way as well. So much depends on who the big name HC ( or GM ) is.
The Lions should focus on trying to get the best possible GM and HC combo that provides the best chance at long term success. If this is accomplished, the Lions should end up with a quality GM/ HC combo. It might be difficult to attract quality FAs in 2021, both from the standpoint of perception about the Lions by some and if the team is clearly rebuilding. If the Lions show noticeable progress in 2021, including as an organization, that should lead to more FAs having serious interest in signing with the Lions in 2022.

Darrell Bevell says interview for Lions’ head coaching job went ‘really well’
.......
Darrell Bevell interviewed with the Redskins following the 2013 regular season, which was the first of two straight seasons the Seahawks reached the Super Bowl. Because the Seahawks were still in the playoffs, even if Bevell wanted to leave them for the Redskins, there's no way the Seahawks would have let this happen.
With the Lions hiring Brad Holmes as GM, it's important that the Lions hire a HC with at least some NFL HC experience. Hence, a case can still be made for Darrell Bevell for the Lions HC position.

Report: Detroit Lions to likely lose interim coach Darrell Bevell for OC job in Jacksonville ....
The Jaguars OC position would be a great opportunity for Darrell Bevell. Working with Trevor Lawrence, the overwhelming favorite to be pick # 1 by the Jaguars in the 2021 Draft, could easily lead to Bevell getting an NFL HC job.
For the Jags, Bevell would provide Urban Meyer with a highly experienced NFL OC, who also has 4 games and 5 weeks of NFL HC experience. Hence, the transition to the NFL for Meyer would be aided considerably.
