The good news other than D'Andre Swift being upgraded to Limited on the Lions Injury Report is Danny Amendola was upgraded to Limited.

It's highly likely that CB Dee Virgin will be added to the Game Day roster vs. his former team, the Texans. The Lions only have 3 relatively healthy CBs on the 53 man roster. Virgin also is a high caliber Punt Gunner.

The chances of Laremy Tunsil starting in this game increased substantionally today. If Tunsil does start, it remains to be seen if the Texans limit his snaps to some extent. Conditioning could be an issue for him.

The Texans will be thin at WR tomorrow. Yet, the experienced trio of Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller, and Keke Coutee are more than capable of making plays to help beat the Lions.

Even with Dee Virgin available to play, the Lions only have 3 CBs not on the Injury Report. Safeties Tracy Walker, Jayron Kearse, and / or Will Harris all could see action as Slot CBs tomorrow. The back injury Amani Oruwariye is dealing is very concerning. Even if Oruwariye plays in the game, he might not be able to finish the game. Back injuries are often unpredictable.

The loss of Danny Amendola is a major additional setback for the Lions.

The Lions front 7 injury situation is highly problematic.

The fact that D'Andre Swift is Questionable for the game leads me to believe the Lions expect him to be able to play in this game, unless he has a setback today or early tomorrow morning.
