Lions will put Trey Flowers on injured reserve
Detroit Lions placing Trey Flowers on injured reserve

Colts 41, Lions 21 : Game # 7 ( 2020 )

My guess is the injury Trey Flowers suffered yesterday involves the wrist that limited Flowers in practice earlier this season. It was evident Flowers came out of the game in the 4th QTR because of a wrist / hand injury.
Related to this, it wouldn't surprise me if Flowers snaps were limited in recent games because of the wrist injury.
If the Lions fall out of the playoff race in the coming weeks, which wouldn't be surprising because of the key injuries the Lions are now dealing with, that might signal the end of Flowers' season.
At the very least, Flowers is out against Minnesota, Washington, and Carolina. The earliest he would be eligible to return is the Thanksgiving Day Game vs. Houston. I would be surprised if Flowers came back for the Texans game, being the Lions only have one non-walk through practice in the short week.

Bad bad bad news, Trey Flowers and Jamie Collins are the 2 defensive playmakers imho. Some commentators were checking the W box against the Vikings, the "Football Team", the Panthers and so on ... but it is far from a given especially without several key players !

A shoulder injury ( Dave Birkett's speculation ) didn't come to mind on this end. It definitely looked like Trey Flowers was concerned about his hand / wrist.
Replacing the all around skills of Trey Flowers, including his pass defense contributions ( another broken up pass yesterday ), will be difficult.
Everson Griffin has the physical skills but he hasn't even had a practice rep in the Lions Defensive system.
Even if Austin Bryant is ready to return, his limitations against the run ( until / unless he proves otherwise compared to his rookie season ) will limit his usage to expected passing downs. Question marks about whether he has a significantly more variance ( and strength ) with his pass rush also are concerning. It's not even a given Bryant will be activated. So much depends on what has been transpiring in practice with him since the 3 week window began.

Frenchy, in addition to Trey Flowers and Jamie Collins, I think Romeo Okwara has become a playmaker on the Lions Defense. Duron Harmon is the closest thing to a playmaker the Lions currently have in the Secondary.
I definitely agree that it's not a given the Lions are going to win these upcoming games. The Vikings went from 2 1/ 2 favorites yesterday to 4 point favorites over the Lions. Probably, because of the likely loss of Kenny Golladay. Yet, the loss of Trey Flowers against RB Dalvin Cook could easily be a recipe' for disaster.
The Panthers likely will have RB Christian McCaffrey back from an ankle injury well before the Lions game. Cook and MacCaffey both have game changing rushing and receiving skills. Plus, they open up opportunities for their teammates.
The WFT front 7 on Defense ( barring trades and injuries ) will be a challenge for the Lions Offense to deal with. Even more so if Kenny Golladay is out.

"Matt Patricia has an uphill battle to get another NFL Head Coach job"
His relationship with the players was terrible, that may be an even bigger obstacle than his tactical approach.

To the point that it substantially limited the number of players that were willing to sign with the Lions, when they had one or more other competitive offers.
